Rationale
In Thailand, the responsibility of solid waste management lies with local administration organizations. It is the most important that due consideration be given in selecting technology with suit for local condition such as characteristics of the community, geography, economic and operator. Appropriate technology selection will ensure the solid waste management system will cost effective, durable, easy to operate, control and administer. The presentation and exhibition of various solid management technologies will be useful for the local administrators and operations in considering the choice of and the adaptation of various solid waste technologies appropriate to its locality.
Objectives The Grand Exhibition on Solid Waste Management Technology is the presentation of the modern and clean technology. The integrated solid waste management procedure will be proposed on collection, transportation, including final disposal system; sanitary landfill, composting, infectious and community waste incineration. In addition, resource recovery technologies and symposium of the government, private, academic, international organizations display the modern recycling products, equipment, machinery and researches. The exhibition objective is to disseminate the information in solid waste management technologies among responsible persons in managing solid waste from local administration agencies (municipalities, provincials, etc.), policy making agencies, technologies, technocrats throughout the general publics for enhancing the solid waste management efficiency.
